February 2012 - Portrait Event Announced!
Just a quick message for now to let you know that we are happy to confirm that our next Portrait Photography Event will be taking place on Saturday 3rd of March in Mansfield and that we are now taking bookings!

January 2012 - Happy New Year!
Another congratulations to start to the new Mr and Mrs Pilmore who's Wedding I had the pleasure of photographing over Christmas at the beautiful Woodborough Hall. It really was a fantastic day with smiles all round and some great memories for all who attended i'm sure.
A few past customers have been in touch over the last couple of weeks asking if and when we'll be holding another of our popular Portrait Days this year.
We intend to hold a number of these events throughout the year (which will more than likely start in time for Mother's Day) and although we have no intention of changing the standard price of attending our portrait days (£35 for a 20 minute shoot complete with a CD of images) we have a few new features which we hope to introduce this year, giving customers more options and perks.
Watch this space for full details of our up coming portrait events, Wedding Fayres we'll be attending and any other news about what we'll be doing during 2012.
So once again, we'd like to wish all our customers - past, present and future - a very happy and prosperous New Year and we look forward to seeing you soon!
October 2011 - Big Days and Portrait Days!
Firstly, I'd like to say a BIG congratulations to two very special couples. Rob and Rachel and Matt and Becky. I had the pleasure of photographing both their Weddings over the last month and was made to feel more like a guest than a photographer at both! Both days were absolutely beautiful and wish both couples all the luck in the world.
As well as Weddings we've had our first Portrait day in the run up to Christmas. The day was a massive success and we met lots of great people. I'm now working my way through the editting from the day - so if you were there, fear not your CD is on the way! - as well as looking forward to the next three over the coming months.

August 2011 - Still Going Strong!
OK, so maybe I haven't been keeping up with the blog quite so often as I should and OK, so maybe I wrote a lot more at the begin than I have been recently. But no more! My post-summer-resolution is keep everything up to date, ship shape and Bristol fashion.
Since my last post we've had two successful Portrait Days (so once again, a huge 'Thank you' to everyone who came along!). Our next event will be taking place in September in Mansfield, but right now we're not sure exactly when. Keep checking the Events page or our Facebook page for full details as soon as we have them.
We have also attended a couple of great Wedding Fayres over the last few months and have some more lined up for the Autumn. Speaking of Wedding Fayres - some of you might have noticed that the listing on the Events page for our own Wedding Fayre due to take place in September has disappeared. We're sorry to say that due to unforeseen circumstances we've had to put it on hold and so wont be holding one this year. It is something we're still planing to do for the future though so watch this space...
We have now extended our 'New Baby' package backwards. what this means is that now instead of having three portrait shoots taken in your baby's first year, you can now choose to have one of your shoots take place before the birth - capturing you, your partner, your other family members and of course your bump! March 2011 - A lot to get through...
As February was just so busy - the Blog completely slipped my mind! So we've got a few bits and bobs to tell you about this month about the events we've got coming up, changes we've made to our services over the past month and some little extras we're adding to our repertoire.
Firstly, you might have noticed another page has sprung up recently; our new Buy Online page now allows customers to pay for some of the services we offer through their PayPal account - just like paying for a purchase from eBay. Easy as that! Although not all our services are on there yet, we do intend to expand on the options and are pleased to say that we've already had some good feedback from customers choosing to pay deposits through it!
Which neatly leads onto a quick mention of our two Portrait Photography Days which took place towards the end of February. We just wanted to thank everyone who came along and that we hope you are all as happy with your photographs as we are! Our next Portrait Photography Day is planned for Saturday 21st of May in Mansfield and we are already taking bookings.
We are also pleased to announce a new feature for our next Portrait Photography Day:
We have recently purchased a brand new black backdrop which we are looking forward to rolling out at our next event - offering customers a bit of variety between the new black and the classic white backdrops for their shoot.
We've been standing at a few Wedding Fayres over the past month and have enjoyed meeting all the Brides (and Grooms) to be and discussing their plans for their Big Days. We're also in the process of planning our own Wedding Fayre for September. It will be held at the Summit Centre in Kirkby-in-Ashfield where we will be playing host to businesses from the area who share the same ethos on value for money and great service as us. Watch this space for all future updates and developments...

January 2011 - Happy New Year!
After a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year we're straight back in the swing of things and are already planning another one of our popular Portrait Photography Days this March! We have planned the day to be just in time for Mother's Day on Sunday the 13th. Get in touch for further details or to book your slot!
We are also making plans on the Wedding Photography side of things and will be standing at two Wedding and Bridal Fayres this Spring. On Sunday the 27th of February we will be at Forever Green off Southwell Road, Mansfield and on the following Sunday the 6th of March, we will be at the fayre at The Towers on Botany avenue in Mansfield. So if you're planning your big day come along and see us - we'll be more than happy to discuss your plans and answer your questions.

December 2010 - Happy Christmas! - and ready for a Happy New Year!
We just wanted to quickly say Happy Christmas to all our customers and friends and thank you all for making 2010 such a great first year for us!
We're really looking forward to 2011 and already have a lot planned for Mark Walker Photography: We'll be attending at least two Wedding and Bridal Fayres in the spring and already have plans for more of our popular Portrait Days. We're also branching out into outdoor portrait shoots as well as studio sessions.

November 2010 - Portrait Days 2010 - Extra Date added!
We are pleased to say that thanks to popular demand for our Portrait Day later this month that we are adding an extra date! As well as our day on the 21st of November, we will now be at St Lawrence's Church Hall on Sunday the 5th of December (again, just in time for Christmas!). If you are interested or would like further information, get in touch and we will arrange a slot to suit you! The price hasn't changed - £35 for a 20 minute slot and a copyright-free CD containing around 30-40 photographs. See you there!
November 2010 - Our second Wedding fayre and looking forward to our next Portrait Photography Day - Just in time for Christmas!
Once again we had a great time at the Wedding Fayre at the Oakham Suite in Mansfield over the weekend and spoke to lots of different Brides-to-be hoping to hold lots of different Wedding Days! We sincerely hope that whether you decide to book us for your day or not, that you have a fantastic and perfect Wedding Day.
As for our next Portrait Photography Day, we will once again be holding our event at St Lawrence's Church Hall in Mansfield and will be there on Sunday 21st of November. Our thought for this event is that by holding it at the end of November, you will have your photographs on a copyright free CD in time to get Christmas cards and gifts printed for friends and family.
So as always the price is just a one off fee of £35, which covers a 20 minute professional Portrait Photography session and around 30-40 photographs on a CD for you to get printed and duplicated as often as you like!

September 2010 - Our second Portrait Photography Day and our first Wedding and Bridal Fayre
Before we talk about our first leap into the world of the Wedding Fayre we just wanted once again to thank everyone who came along to our Portrait Days this month in both Mansfield and Farnsfield. We really enjoyed it and hope that you and your families did too!
We are also currently looking into putting on two further Portrait Days later in the year, just in time for Christmas so if you're interested in coming along either keep watching our Events page or get in touch either via the website or by phone to check when these dates will be and what times we have available!
As for the Wedding Fayre at Portland College, we had a great time meeting and speaking to all the Brides-to-be who came along to see our work. We also enjoyed speaking to representatives from other wedding related businesses and swapping tips! We're now getting geared up for the wedding Fayre at the end of October at the Oakham Suite on Nottingham Road, Mansfield. We look forward to seeing you there!

September 2010 - Our first Portrait Photography Day
We just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who came along for our first ever Portrait Photography Day which took place last Saturday at St Lawrence's church hall in Mansfield. We had a great time photographing you and your families and hope that you're equally as thrilled with the photographs as we are!
We're still taking bookings for our forthcoming Portrait Day in Farnsfield on the 18th of September so if you'd like to come along please get in touch to book your 20 minute slot for just £35. This price includes a copyright CD containing around 30-40 photographs from your session for you to reproduce as many times as you like!
Its that simple! No hidden costs for expensive prints. Just great value for money.
August 2010 - Competition Win!
After entering the Attenborough Nature Centre's 2011 Calendar competition we were excited to learn that one of our photographs has - along with 11 other entries - been chosen to appear in next years calendar!
If you've never visited the Attenborough Nature Centre its a great day out, with walks around the reserve ranging in distance to suit you and your family. You can also see a wide range of species of birds and animals so be sure to take the camera.
I always think this is the best time of year for walks (and for taking photographs!) as the colours really start to come into their own now and the natural light provided by the early autumn sun is perfect for getting some truly great nature shots.
